Weddings are amongst the most special occasions in our lives and so it is natural that we want to be sure we have beautiful photographs by which to remember the day.

At JL Photographics our philosophy is that a wedding is a time to enjoy and share with our loved ones, and that photographs should be a by-product of the day, not the main focus. After all, we don't hold weddings for the sole purpose of having a photo shoot, nor do we want to feel as though we are being chased by paparazzi all day! Your photographer should be like a swan - calm and quiet on the surface but working like crazy below to get all those important shots. If you want stunning images that are captured with the least disruption to your day then JL Photographics is for you. Our style of wedding photography involves a mixture of posed and candid shots with a mostly photojournalistic approach to really capture the essence of your special day.

We have a number of packages available with a range of budgets in mind. Are we hands-down the cheapest wedding photographers in Melbourne? No. Why not? Unfortunately these days in most cases you really tend to get what you pay for in the photography industry, and we don't believe in sacrificing quality for quantity. Imagine choosing a photographer to capture your one big day based on how cheap they are, only to receive your photos after all is said and done and be disappointed with them. You can't turn back the clock and do it all again with a different photographer, those pictures will hold your memories forever.

So what are you actually paying for when you choose JL Photographics? We use only high quality Canon professional digital SLR's, lenses and flashes. Your wedding photographer will spend a number of hours with you on the day to capture all the important parts of the process (as selected with your package) but the work does not by any means end there! The majority of time (often up to 30 hours) is spent editing your photos after the wedding day. We also take a lot of time and care producing your professional quality prints, creating a website exclusively for viewing by you and your loved ones, consulting with you about your specific requirements and expectations, visiting the ceremony and reception venues prior to your wedding to ensure we use the most appropriate photographic techniques, scouting post-ceremony photo locations and consulting with you after the event to choose additional prints.

Please note that:
- All package prices are valid only for venues that are within 1 hour's drive from Mordialloc, Melbourne; venues that are further than this may incur a surcharge commensurate with their location
- Packages booked for weddings that fall on a public holiday will incur a $200 surcharge
